Zoom Room Policies
We like a safe and happy environment. All dogs must be fully vaccinated, healthy and social with both humans and other dogs to enroll in classes or Open Gym (if you need us to define “social,” chances are your dog is not). If your dog doesn’t play well with others, you can enroll in private lessons or rent the facility all for yourself. Dogs displaying aggressive behavior during ANY class will be asked to leave. If you have questions regarding this policy please speak to an instructor.
Vaccinations
Proof of current yearly vaccination must be provided prior to enrolling in classes. Please make sure your dog is up-to-date on DHPP, Bordatella, and rabies vaccines. Titer tests are also permitted. Puppies will need to have vaccinations commensurate with their age to enroll in puppy class. You MUST fax, e-mail or upload your dog’s vaccination records prior to your first visit to the Zoom Room. If we don’t have your dog’s vaccine records on file, you won’t be able to attend the session, nor eligible for a refund or credit.
Collars & Leashes
Please note that all dogs must be leashed in the lobby. Flat buckle collars along with nylon or leather leashes should be used for classes. Correction collars (choke chains, prong collars, and e-collars) are not permitted in the training area. Head collars (Haltis or Gentle Leaders) and harnesses should be removed prior to agility classes. Flexi-Leashes (i.e. retractable) are not permitted in the training area. All Open Gym sessions are conducted on-leash.
Dogs are dogs, but…
Please walk your dog prior to entering the building. You are responsible for cleaning up any accidents within the facility, for which we have provided you with a handy-dandy Cleanup Station.
Be punctual, won’tcha?
Please also note that there is no grace period for hourly rentals, and all classes begin promptly, so please be on time, or better yet, come early and grab a coffee! Please wait until the previous class has finished before entering the gym.
We love kids
Kids are welcome at the Zoom Room; however, please note that each child under fourteen must have an adult escort. We have a Hound Lounge replete with complimentary coffee, magazines, and free WiFi if you prefer to let your kids do all the training (we don’t mind). Children not participating in class must be supervised. We also have a children’s area for little kids – with books, a big chalkboard and sidewalk chalk, toys and games. Children eight and up may participate in training classes with an adult escort.
One Dog Per Handler
If you have more than one dog, you can sign up two or more dogs for classes or Open Gym; however, each dog must have his or her own handler; if you don’t have a second person to bring along, you must schedule your dogs into different sessions. We also offer special “Duo” rates on Private Training for two dogs – ask a trainer for details.
Age Requirements
Age requirements for classes are strictly enforced; this is mostly an issue in our Puppy Classes. Please be sure to read the age requirements carefully before your first class. If your dog is too young or too old, he or she will not be admitted to class.
Referrals
Your kind words are our highest form of flattery. Refer a friend and receive five BarkBucks™ good towards purchases of merchandise, classes, or events. Tell a friend about the Zoom Room! Remind your friends to tell us you sent them!
The fine print: Cancellations, Refunds, etc.
SERVICES: Private training sessions, rentals and Open Gym reservations may be cancelled up to 24 hours in advance. Parties must be cancelled at least one week in advance. Late cancellations will be charged the full price. We do not offer makeup lessons for group classes; however, if the same class is offered at a different time during the week you may come to a different day with instructor approval. Refunds on group classes are only available after the first session, minus a teaching and administrative fee.
MERCHANDISE: If you are dissatisfied in any way with your purchase you may exchange or return it within 30 days from the date of purchase. All returns must be new & unused, in unopened packaging with tags attached and must be accompanied by the original receipt. Defective merchandise may be returned if accompanied by original receipt and within 30 days of purchase. Electronic training equipment is non-returnable. Dog food may be returned for store credit only.
Please note: we take our posted prerequisites very seriously; any failure to follow our prerequisites are non-refundable, but you may apply account credit to other classes. Some examples include: enrolling in any class without up-to-date vaccines, enrolling in an advanced class when you haven’t taken the previous classes nor gained instructor approval, or enrolling a dog known to be aggressive in any of our group classes. In such situations, on the first day of class you’ll be asked to enroll in a different, appropriate class, pending availability.
