Dog Training Philosophy

Positive Dog Training

The philosophy behind our dog training center is simple. We dig dogs. And sometimes, we’d like to be somewhere really cool with our dogs.

Well, the Health Department has ruled out restaurants, pubs, coffeehouses, and the beach. So we created the Zoom Room, a safe, indoor play space for dogs. A hip, fun place to relax, socialize, and play, and maybe learn a few new things.

We think it’s great to share our social lives with dogs, and now we can.

We believe that trained dogs are happier and healthier, and lead better lives than untrained ones, so we’ve worked hard to create a system of positive dog training that is effective but easy for all to master, and developed an environment where you can have fun and relax with your pup.

Positive Reinforcement Dog Training Methods

We want to take the chore out of training dogs, because we think that well-behaved dogs enhance the lives of everyone around them. Our dog training methods are based on scientifically-proven positive reinforcement dog training. We’ve carefully constructed a step-by-step curriculum to make learning intuitive and fun, because teaching your dog to pick up his toys or ride a skateboard is pretty cool.

Clicker training is used in our dog obedience classes, and other positive reinforcement dog training methods are used in our dog agility training and advanced classes such as positive praise and, of course, treats!

Oh, and we believe it’s important to have a great time with dogs and their owners while also running a green business.
