We enjoyed a remarkably moving evening last night at the gala Hero Dog Awards. We enjoyed seeing several of our human heroes, such as Betty White and Victoria Stilwell. But the dogs were the true stars.

Zoom Room Monterey Bay hosted a community event, Responsible Dog Ownership Day on Sunday, September 25th. Those who attended were able to meet and ask questions of pet professionals in the fields of traditional, emergency, and holistic veterinary care as well as professional grooming.

Enjoy free dog training classes and a party on October 22, when the Zoom Room opens its doors to celebrate the social aspect of dog ownership in Charlotte, NC.

Zoom Room Milwaukee will be holding an AKC sponsored “Responsible Dog Ownership Day” on Sunday, October 2nd in conjunction with the Brady Street Pet Parade.

On October 7th, from 6 to 9 pm, Denise Fleck of Sunny Dog Ink will conduct an incredibly informative three hour seminar and interactive demonstration on dog first aid and safety. This is information that all dog owners absolutely should know.

On October 15, 2011, the Zoom Room will open its doors to celebrate the social aspect of dog ownership in Claremont, California.

The day will include FREE dog agility classes throughout the morning and a fabulous party in the afternoon. Everything is free – and everyone is welcome!

Colorado dog owners enjoyed showing off their trick dogs, learning pet first aid and visiting dog related vendors for AKC’s Responsible Dog Ownership Day. Our day focused on the amenities that many dog owners don’t know exist such as dog massage techniques and artificial turf. How about a dog waste pick up service? From invisible fence to custom quilt dog breed totes – there was something for everyone.

The American Humane Association presents the Hero Dog Awards, honoring guide dogs, therapy dogs, search and rescue, and other heroic canines. The show will be hosted by Carson Kressley, who will be joined by Betty White, Victoria Stilwell, Whoopi Goldberg, Kristin Chenoweth, and other stellar dog-loving luminaries, and will premiere on the Hallmark Channel on November 11, 2011.

Join us Saturday morning at Strut Your Mutt, a mile-long charity walk at Pan Pacific Park.

One way to help increase the chances of a safe return of your lost dog is to consider having him microchipped. A microchip is a very tiny electronic chip (about the size of a grain of rice) that is injected just under the skin between the shoulder blades with a small hypodermic needle.
