Introduction to Agility
Description: This class is ideal for dogs who have good basic training, but who have never before been in a group class setting (or if you just want to see if dog agility is something you and your dog will enjoy!). It’s a great opportunity to brush up on all the basic handling and behaviors that you and your dog will need in order to begin Agility Training. We’ll spend the first half learning a few focus exercises designed to help you work with your dog in a dynamic, social setting. In the second half you’ll get a great first taste of dog agility, learning a few of the basic obstacles. This class is not a requirement for Agility 1.
Prerequisites: All dogs must be nine months of age or older and able to be controlled on a leash.
Duration: One hour-long session
Agility 1
Description: Designed for the dog with basic obedience training but no agility experience, you and your dog will learn the basics of obstacle management, development of control and confidence.
Prerequisites: All dogs must be nine months of age or older, be able to be controlled on a leash, and must know sit, down, and come.
Duration: Six weeks
Agility 2
Description: A continuation of Agility 1, this intermediate agility training series will help your dog develop more control and fluidity and begin to learn agility coursework and footwork. We’ll also troubleshoot some of the more pesky agility obstacles to develop speed.
Prerequisites: Agility 1 or consent of instructor.
Duration: Six weeks
Agility 3
Description: Advanced agility training emphasizes footwork and off-leash control to get you ready for agility competition. In this class, agility coursework and precision are emphasized.
Prerequisites: Agility 2 or consent of instructor.
Duration: Six weeks
Senior Stretch & Agility
Description: Our uniquely-designed senior dog agility class is perfect for keeping your older dog active. With a balanced combination of agility and Pup-lates®, the emphasis is on gentle movements and confidence building. Your dog will learn basic agility with modified equipment while strengthening the joints and improving balance and mobility. We also teach you some fun activities you can do at home to keep your senior dog engaged and mentally active.
Age Requirements: Ages 7 and up
Prerequisites: Please talk with your veterinarian to make sure your dog is healthy enough to participate. All dogs must be able to be controlled on a leash.
Duration: Ongoing
Agility League
Description: We’ve got trophies, we’ve got whistles, we’ve even got a referee shirt. Once you and your dog have completed agility training, you can team up with your classmates for some friendly competition in this weekly Agility League, designed to keep you and your dog in tip-top shape.
Prerequisites: Agility 2 or consent of instructor
Duration: Ten weeks
Obedience 1
Description: This basic manners group class is designed to help you and your dog learn and practice basic obedience skills like sit, come, down, go to bed, and loose-leash walking. We’ll focus special attention on good manners like not jumping up.
Prerequisites: For dogs six months and up.
Duration: Six weeks
Obedience 2
Description: Advanced obedience skills including extra control around distractions and beginning off-leash work. Perfect for dogs that have some obedience work but need to brush up. A Canine Good Citizen test is given at the last meeting.
Prerequisites: Basic obedience skills including sit, stay, down, and heel. For dogs nine months and up.
Duration: Six weeks
Therapy Dog Training
Description: You’ve got the basics down. Now learn how to prepare for the Delta Society temperament test for therapy dogs. This group class is designed to help you and your dog fine-tune your basic obedience skills by focusing special attention on good manners, control around distractions, introduction to hospital equipment, and therapy dog tricks.
Prerequisites: Canine Good Citizen test, equivalent, or consent of instructor.
Duration: Six weeks
Shy Dog
Description: Is your dog a wallflower? If your dog is nervous meeting new people or new dogs, we’ll show how to help your dog overcome his fear and anxiety in a controlled environment. Perfect for rescue dogs.
Prerequisites: None
Duration: Six weeks
Calm Down!
Description: Does your dog get rambunctious, excited and uncontrollable? This class teaches self-control techniques to calm your dog around distractions. Perfect for adolescent dogs. Please note: this is not a class for aggressive dogs.
Prerequisites: Basic Obedience
Duration: Six weeks
Come When Called
Description: Does your dog come when called? If not, this is the class for you. We’ll work on establishing a rock solid recall, getting your dog to turn on a dime when he hears his name. We’ll also cover obedience commands at a distance. This obedience class is essential for the safety and well-being of your dog. Enrollment includes a whistle and a long line training leash.
Age requirements: Six months and up.
Prerequisites: Basic on-leash control of your dog.
Duration: Three weeks
Leash Walking
Description: Taking your dog for a walk should be a joy, not a hassle. Do you walk your dog, or does your dog walk you? If you’ve got a pup who pulls, balks, lunges, leaps, squirms, and every verb other than walk when on leash, this class is for you. We’ll work on heeling, leash control and response to distractions.
Age requirements: Six months and up.
Duration: Three weeks
Pup-lates®
Description: Using equipment you’d find in a human gym, your dog will learn core control and develop athleticism, balance, and strength. Perfect for canine athletes, dogs recovering from injuries, growing puppies, or those dogs that could stand to lose a few pounds.
Prerequisites: Basic on-leash control.
Duration: Ongoing
Hollywood Dog
Description: Teach your dog to be a star! This class teaches advanced set work with an emphasis on distance control and hand signals. At the end of class, we will help your dog develop his or her “portfolio,” with photographs and a YouTube video. Your dog might be the next great Internet sensation!
Prerequisites: Basic obedience and control.
Duration: Six weeks
Tricks 1
Description: Every dog needs a few tricks, and some dogs need even more! This class covers the classic tricks like roll over, play dead, and sit up, but also covers more advanced behaviors. This class is great for teaching focus around other dogs.
Prerequisites: Basic obedience and control.
Duration: Six weeks
Tricks 2
Description: New! A continuation of Tricks 1, in this class you’ll learn how to string together basic behaviors that you learned in Tricks 1 to really impress your friends. A great class for the busy dog or the future therapy dog.
Prerequisites: Tricks 1 or equivalent
Duration: Six weeks
Scent Discrimination
Description: In this brand new class, you and your dog will learn fun scent discrimination games that you can play to engage your dog AND burn off some energy! We’ll teach your dog how to sniff out objects hidden around the house, like your cell phone. Perfect for dogs that are high-energy or home alone all day, we’ll get your dog thinking and using his sniffer.
Prerequisites: Basic control on leash
Duration: Six weeks
Puppy Preschool
Description: Someday they’ll grow up. Just not yet. In the meantime, you’ll learn how to address housebreaking, nipping, chewing, and jumping problems, all while commiserating with other hapless puppy owners. Includes an introduction to basic obedience, as well as socialization and group play time for the little ones.
Prerequisites: Vaccines commensurate with age.
Duration: Ongoing
Puppy Agility
Description: Puppy Agility is a special class for puppies ages two to eight months, designed to be easy on growing joints and bones. This class emphasizes confidence-building for your puppy, and builds upon the foundation of great communication learned in Puppy Preschool, while also whetting his appetite for Agility. You can attend Puppy Agility once, twice, or as often as you’d like!
Prerequisites: Vaccines commensurate with age
Duration: Ongoing
Private Obedience Training
Description: Private one-on-one instruction covers basic obedience in and around the house, with on and off-leash control. You will learn how to effectively communicate with your dog and solve basic behavior problems like jumping, housebreaking, barking, and nipping. After on-leash skills are mastered, you will learn voice control over your dog from a distance, hand signals, and distraction control.
Prerequisites: Non-aggressive to humans.
Duration: One-hour session. Also offered in a discounted package of four hour-long sessions.
Private Puppy Training
Description: Private one-on-one instruction covering basic obedience in and around the house, with on and off-leash control. You will learn how to effectively communicate with your puppy and problem-solve basic behavior problems like jumping, housebreaking, barking, and nipping. After on-leash skills are mastered, you will learn beginning voice control over your dog from a distance and learn how to deal with adolescent distractions.
Prerequisites: For puppies under the age of one year.
Duration: Half-hour session. Also offered in a discounted package of four half-hour sessions.
Private Agility Training
Description: Choose one-on-one agility training if you’re worried about your dog’s social skills in group agility classes, or if you’re hoping to enter your dog in national trials and need that extra push. Private Agility classes are also a great way to accommodate your busy schedule, as you can schedule your sessions whenever it’s most convenient for you. We also offer special pricing on a package of four half-hour sessions, which is the equivalent of taking a six-week group class.

Duration: Half-hour session. Also offered in a discounted package of four half-hour sessions.
Advanced Private Training
Description: What do you want to learn? Our qualified trainers can help you in any of your training endeavors. Whether you’re interested in tricks, nosework, retrieving, competition, we’re ready to help you meet your goals!
Prerequisites: None.
Duration: One-hour session. Also offered in a discounted package of four hour-long sessions.
Open Gym
Description: Open Gym is an affordable option for getting in some quality exercise time with your dog, and practicing your skills on the dog agility course. It’s a safe, fun alternative to dog parks, where you can use the equipment and zoom around on the course during designated times.
Prerequisites: Your dog must be pre-approved as safe on the equipment and in a social setting
