Party the New Orleans Way

Mardi Gras ChihuahuaZoom Room Longmont hosted their first annual Mardi Gras party Saturday night February 18th.  Dogs of all shapes and sizes got into the New Orlean spirit and many came decked in the colors of green, gold and purple!

While Zoom Room supplied the beverages – authentic Hurricane drinks flowed as well as margaritas and wine – Lucile’s Creole Café in Longmont catered the Red Beans and Rice and their amazing cornbread!  No one went home hungry!  An authentic King Cake was flown in from Slidell, LA and was eaten in a blink of the eye.  The dogs enjoyed their own Doggy Donuts baked at Zoom Room and decorated in Mardi Gras colors too.

The Tarot card reader took donations for each reading (human or pet) for our Mardi Gras charity, Big Dogs Huge Paws, Inc.  We enjoyed having a unique twist to our party!

Thank you to all the Big Dogs Huge Paws rescue volunteers who gave their time to come promote BDHPI.  We appreciate all your help and energy that it takes to find dogs the right forever home!

As they say in New Orleans – Laissez les bons temps rouler! (“Let the good times roll”)
