Shiba Scout Rescue Adoption Event
Stop in to Zoom Room Longmont between 10:00 am – 3:00 pm on Saturday, May 12th to find your new best friend! Shiba Scout Rescue will be here with wonderful pups looking for their new forever homes. Many Shiba’s will be on hand and rescue volunteers will be available to answer any questions about the breed and adoption process.
Adoption applications will be accepted but no adoptions will be finalized the day of the event. All dogs in the Shiba Scout Rescue are fostered and volunteers are always needed. If you are thinking about the breed, a good way to get to know them is to volunteer as a foster home.
Donations are what help the rescue to keep the innocent dogs they care for. Here is a short list of items you can drop off (or buy at Zoom Room) anytime between now and the event on May 12th:
- Blankets, towels or dog beds
- Leashes (4 or 6 foot Nylon, no retractable leashes please)
- Collars, harnesses and ID tags
- Toys and healthy treats
- Paper towels
- Printer paper and both black and color ink for a Canon printer
- And of course the almighty $$ for veterinary expenses
Shiba Scout Rescue takes in Shiba Inus from animal shelters statewide, as well as from people who can no longer keep their beloved friend. Although they look like cute little baby foxes, Shiba Inus are not meant for everyone. One should always fully research any breed before making such a life long commitment. Visit the American Kennel Club website to learn more.
Zoom Room will donate 10% of the day’s sales to Shiba Scout Rescue, so please come out to support them even if you don’t need a new addition to your family!
