Recession-Proof Pet SpendingFox Business News interviews Zoom Room CEO Jaime Van Wye on recession-proof pet spending and the success of pet businesses in a sluggish economy.

Hosts Chris Cotter and Tracy Byrnes discuss the upturn in business the Zoom Room has witnessed from pet owners, in spite of the recession which has affected so many other sectors. In 2009, for example, when nearly all other retail businesses saw declines, the pet industry experienced a 5.4% increase – not a sharp as in previous years, but well ahead of other industries. During the worst of the recent economic slowdown, the Zoom Room enjoyed a 40% increase in sales.
