Let your little nugget cool off and play around with other petite pups at our Small Dog Meet-Up, Saturday, April 26, from 4pm – 5:30pm.

Dogs 25 pounds and under are invited to play with each other off-leash in our air-conditioned private gym.  Mom and Dad can enjoy delicious snacks and refreshments as well as have fun with our complimentary “Photo Booth.”

Enjoy the fun and socialization safely with trainer and parent supervision!

Holiday Party Raises Money For Charity

Join us once again for our annual holiday party.  Santa Paws will be on hand again for pictures, taken by professional photographer Melinda Hersh.  Also, take time to enjoy our Hot Chocolate bar and ornament making station.  This year, we will be spreading the love… proceeds from the event will be donated to Rescue Me, Inc, a local rescue that focuses on helping older dogs and dogs with disabilities.

We are all about sharing the holiday spirit this year.  If you purchase a 10-pack of classes prior to the party, you can come FREE.  Bring any of the below-listed items for Rescue Me and come in for just $5:

  • Collars/leashes/harnesses
  • Training harnesses
  • Gentle Leaders
  • Stuffed toys
  • Kongs
  • Blankets or towels

Call to sign up (310/636-4606) or just use the link below.

And now a quick poem, thanks to Clement Clarke Moore:

‘Twas two weeks before Christmas, when all through the shop,

We were preparing the party, getting ready to mop.

The merchandise was hung on the walls with great care,

Knowing that Santa Paws soon would be there.

Tehliah at the register, Kevin in back,

Steph working with Caly while Meghan makes a snack.

The pups were all dressed and ready to play,

Let’s go the Zoom Room now, they did say!

On Mumble, on Chopper, on Pebbles, on Murray,

Let’s run to the Zoom Room, we’re in a hurry!

Holiday Party
| Nov 25th, 2013

Chanukkah and Christmas are here(ish)! Our annual holiday party is only a few weeks away. We called the North Pole and verified that Santa Paws will be on hand again to take pictures with you and your pup.

And, this year, be sure to visit our hot chocolate bar and ornament workshop, where you can make your very own Christmas ornament from your pup’s paw print!

This year we are spreading the cheer. Proceeds from the parties will be donated to Rescue Me, a nonprofit that originated in Woodland Hills. Their mission is to rescue and re-home special case animals often overlooked at rescues, including animals that have been abused, neglected, have special needs or are seniors.

2nd Anniversary Halloween Party
| Oct 21st, 2013

Join us as we turn into Doom Room for a frightful, furry, fun Halloween and 2nd anniversary celebration!

We can’t believe we’ve been here two years already! We want to thank all of our wonderful supporters in the Claremont area for another great year. We have partnered with a great cause and will be donating all raffle proceeds to Pets of the Homeless. In addition, we are requesting that attendees bring in a new or gently used item for our donation bin.

We’ll have refreshments for spooky dogs and scary owners, plus prizes in our creepy costume contest! Have fun as your pooch chases the laser lights from our Doggy Disco or tries out our agility equipment. Come see old friends or meet new ones!

What is Pets of the Homeless? Pets of the Homeless is a nonprofit volunteer organization that provides pet food and veterinary care to the homeless and less fortunate in local communities across the United States and Canada. Their efforts have effects far beyond the care of the pets themselves. 3.5 million Americans are homeless. Between 5% to 10% of homeless people have dogs and/or cats. In some areas of the country the rate is as high as 24%. Zoom Room Claremont is proud to be a collection site for Pets of the Homeless.

Sponsored by Modern Mayhem, Corner Butcher Shop, Panera Bread and Trader Joe’s.

Proceeds Benefit Train to Adopt!

Proceeds will benefit the Train to Adopt program at Charlotte-Mecklenburg Animal Care & Control.

In the words of one Zoom Room Client, “I adopted my dog there because she was so well behaved when they brought her out to meet me!”. That’s no easy accomplishment for dogs living in a shelter. Karen Owens, and her team of Train-to-Adopt volunteers work with shelter dog to teach basic obedience, not only making them more adoptable, but keeping them mentally and emotionally healthy during their shelter stay. See below for more information about the Train to Adopt program.

At the Party, you will enjoy…

REFRESHMENTS… for spooky dogs and scary owners

PRIZES… in our Spooky Doggie Dance-Off

… and more!!

What is Train to Adopt?

The Train to Adopt program is partially funded by a Petfinder.com Foundation grant. The program brings a focus to the mental, behavioral and emotional health of shelter dogs.  By utilizing positive reinforcement training, play time, and environmental enrichment we intend to meet the following goals:

  • Increase adoptions
  • Decrease stress, stress related behaviors and lower arousal
  • Collect data to generate and develop future programs
  • Lower the length of stay in a kennel
  • Offer guidelines for Humane Care and Quality of Life for shelter dogs
