Colorado dog owners enjoyed showing off their trick dogs, learning pet first aid and visiting dog related vendors for AKC’s Responsible Dog Ownership Day. Our day focused on the amenities that many dog owners don’t know exist such as dog massage techniques and artificial turf. How about a dog waste pick up service? From invisible fence to custom quilt dog breed totes – there was something for everyone.

One way to help increase the chances of a safe return of your lost dog is to consider having him microchipped. A microchip is a very tiny electronic chip (about the size of a grain of rice) that is injected just under the skin between the shoulder blades with a small hypodermic needle.

Every Creature Counts is more than a rescue. They also run a full veterinary clinic including spay/neuter, dentistry, microchip and vaccinations.

On July 31st Austin cocker spaniels showed off their agility skills and helped raise awareness for the Cocker Spaniel Rescue of Austin & San Antonio at the Zoom Room!

The Animal Friends Rescue Project hosted the Pooch Plunge fundraiser at Lover’s Point Pool in Pacific Grove. For a donation of $10.00, dog owners had the opportunity to let their canine companion swim in the pool before it closed for the season.

Zoom Room recently held an event to benefit Get-a-Life pet rescue, which is a fantastic non-profit , foster home only, quality of life, no kill organization dedicated to end pet suffering.
